Interview of Dr. Russell Barkley around the research suggesting there is a new attentional disorder called sluggish cognitive tempo (SCT), also known as concentration deficit disorder (CDD). Dr. Barkley enlightens us on the disorder, how it differs from ADD, and how that many diagnosed with what DSM used to define as inattentive ADD might actually be SCT/CDD. This is important, as differences in diagnosis respond to very different treatments. Pat Steinburg returns to Eastside CHADD to begin the school year with the latest information about significant curriculum changes in your local district and WA state. This program is a “must attend” for every parent who have children in schools now or who have children entering our schools. Pat is very familiar with WA State OSPI standards with her expertise as a Special Education Law Cadre trainer.
