My name is Lizabeth Carney and I was diagnosed with ADHD, which came with several other disorders.
I lived 48 years with no medication. It was hard and I put my body through hell living like that. I realized maybe I needed to adopt medication to my cognitive behavioral therapy and it’s working.
I am unbiased and believe some need medication and some don’t. But never forget to breathe. I know that is the last thing you want to hear but it is good. Breathe from your diaphragm and it should take away the anxiety side of ADHD.
I also believe the support of friends, family, peers is important. Whoever is struggling please be there for them. After I got tired of interrupting people, being impulsive, and of course running around, I decided to get more help, so I put a psychologist I trust on it.
