Late ADHD, Menopause and How Yoga Saved My Life

woman with dogMenopause was tough. In fact, my whole life was tough. And now, just recently having a Combined ADHD diagnosis at age 53, I understand why!
Accidentally stumbling across the realization that “THAT is me!!!” after algorithms sent me towards Instagram posts such as “10 Ways to Spot A Woman with ADHD”.
My initial quest was scrolling to find help for my teaching yoga to young careers with additional needs. Then I found me!
Yoga had saved me once, during a very tricky perimenopause. And I do mean saved me. It was my grounding rock of a regular weekly practice. Now I not only help myself, but the young careers I teach. I was a young career too, as a child. It’s come full circle, with added Spicey!
Diagnosis has been a lightbulb moment and hugely positive! My relationship with my husband is so much better, as is the relationship with myself. I am kinder to myself and am finding the humor in the way I behave, and have behaved in the past. I am trying to sleep better by trying meditation.
