Learning to Embrace my Uniqueness

I received my official inattentive ADHD diagnosis in October 2025 which was not a surprise. This news brought forth anxiety and fear of acceptance. But it has also helped me to better understand myself and come to terms with the complexity of my neurodivergence. It is hard not to fixate on negative aspects of my life, focusing on what is within my control and will bring me happiness.

Coming to terms with another diagnosis has been challenging given the various obstacles which come with each condition. I have utilized coping mechanism through counselling, working out at the gym, as well as spending times with friends.

I wanted to share my story to raise awareness and speak to my own lived experience as an individual newly diagnosed with ADHD in hopes it will inspire another person to do the same.
